I discovered that my Paris guide book that i brought with me splits up paris into the areas a lot like the paris walks book, so for this walk i decided to bring it. Unfortunatly, a lot of the things we saw today was obscure enough that there weren't a lot of information in my book. It was more trouble than it was worth, probably, but i brought it so i might as well use it. The bakery was neat because of the fancy bread it had. Mike got a Pain do chocolate and it wasn't that yummy, though. I was highly amused by the centaur sculpture. None of the other girls really wanted to focus on it or talk about it, though. I onder why the French Ministry of culture would find that culturally... uh... important. Pierre Herme was cool, too. my guide book said that it "is to cakes what chanel is to fashion." lol. i got a good laugh at that. it's also funny cause the walks book says "Herme's lineup is to the macaron what a great couturier's runway show is to the world of fashion." goodness. I couldn't really find Saint-Sulpice in my guide book which was interesting. I almost wish i had read "davinci code" so i would be more amused by saint-sulpice. Abbaye Saint-Germaine Tower is interesting. It seems to have a colorful past. It was a pretty fun walk over all.
